On September 4th, the Chicago social impact community came together at Impact House to celebrate the highly anticipated release of Rob Acton's new book, Becoming a Causie: Champion Your Cause through Nonprofit Board Leadership. The event kicked off the official Book Tour with an evening filled with thoughtful discussions, personal reflections, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals passionate about making a difference through board service.

Guests enjoyed mingling with refreshments before Rob took the stage for an engaging reading from Becoming a Causie, followed by a lively Q&A session with Shannon Schuyler, Chief Purpose and Inclusion Officer at PwC. Attendees also had the chance to share insights on their own board experiences and explored how to deepen their impact in the nonprofit world. Copies of the book were available for signing, making the night a personal and memorable experience for everyone.
